Very Old Barton is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey produced in Bardstown, Kentucky and aged 4 or 6 years by the Sazerac Company at its Barton Distillery. It is bottled in 80-, 86-, 90- and 100-proof (US) expressions.
Very Old Barton 86 Proof, is made by Barton Brands at its Barton Distillery in Bardstown, KY and owned by the Sazerac Company. It has a mashbill of 75% Corn, 15% Rye, and 10% Barley and is at least 4 years old at the time of bottling.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich, tawny amber hue. Lean woody aroma.
Palate: A firm attack leads to a medium bodied palate with a drying woody character.
Finish: Dry, warm finish.
Crafted using the same recipe as for Rebel Yell Kentucky Straight Bourbon (100 Proof), this wheated bourbon was announced in April 2019 in conjunction with new Rebel Yell labels and bottles. It is a permanent addition to the Rebel Yell product line.
